My Core Beliefs as a Makeup Artist

Makeup Through the Lens of Mindfulness, Gratitude & Acceptance

Hi friends,

I’m deep into goal setting for 2025, and connecting with all of you through my newsletter is at the top of my list!

To kick off my first newsletter of the year, I’d like to share what my core beliefs are as a makeup artist, because it really is the basis for everything I do.

  • Embrace what makes YOU, you! Disregard societal pressures on appearance (I know – easier said than done!).

  • Practice mindful consumption (this is a big one for me!). Not mindlessly opening our wallets to marketers telling us we need the hottest, newest product out there. There are so many products on the market that do the exact same thing.

  • Learn what works best for you (no one else!). Trust me, you don’t need the 100 step tutorial you see everywhere on TikTok!

  • Makeup = Self-Care. Makeup is there to help you feel confident and to express yourself. Don’t let it become something that makes you feel stressed, pressured, embarrassed, etc.

I feel so fortunate for what makeup has brought to my life: new relationships, amazing opportunities, confidence, independence, and so much more.

I look forward to connecting with you all soon, and in the meantime, please reply to this email with any makeup questions you have. I’d love to make this newsletter a valuable resource for you!

Please feel free to share this newsletter with anyone you think might find it interesting! And as always, reach out to [email protected] with questions, or to book a makeup service or lesson!
